Inmarsat works with Boeing beating Thales Alenia Space

Inmarsat the British Satellite Operator is in the thick of it by placing a purchase for a fresh fleet of Satellites recently. The need from shipping clients is very high now higher than ever before. Chief Executive Andrea Sukawaty has probably made his best decision ever yet.

The fleet consist of 3 sophisticated satellites from the leader in the field Boeing. The Inmarsat has features such as communicating to other aircrafts, ships and isolated locations through broadband, speech and data services.

Inmarsat believe in investment therefore investing in high-frequency Ka-Band satellite equipment to aid the high-ranking government members and especially the commercial sector clients where there is a market.
This purchase is to valued at just over £750 million which is a huge amount for the satellite operating giant Inmarsat.

Boeing was at the top of the game by beating France (Thales Alenia Space) to take the order.
