Dell has unveiled a pair of touch-screen-enabled systems, one desktop and one notebook, utilizing Microsoft’s Windows 7 Touch platform.

The desktop model, the Inspirion One 19, is an all-in-one system, featuring a 19 inch screen and a starting price of around £499.

The notebook system, the Studio 17, and the first notebook from Dell offering a touch-screen interface is expected to be available for purchase later this month. Dell has not revealed the starting price for this model.

Dell is primarily targeting these systems at the home market, where they believe the touch features will be very popular. “Touch-screen makes computing easy and fun for all ages,” said David Clifton, director of consumer marketing for Dell Europe, “and both products perform as well as being stylish, so they can handle the common tasks we all use at home every day.”
