Facebook Software Engineering Heads outside US West Coast

Facebook is planning on creating a Software Engineering Base in the city of New York US, this is great to here from the social media giant. This move will be the first time Facebook has located a software office not on the West Coast of the US. With Facebook’s continuous expansion there is no stopping in them and it can only help the social networking world and with talks of floatation in the new year could lead the company to a value of ten billion dollars.
Ms Sheryl Sandberg from Facebook said, “We are trying to grow at a clip that will allow us to get the very best people and integrate them”, she is the Chief Operating Officer of Facebook.

Is the Apple iPad bugged out?

Isn’t like all the other devices, you can’t just start using it straight away after removing the packaging it needs setting up and that can take time. I would have thought over years as we have built such advanced devices with basic management using advance software development techniques and software engineering techniques, that now we should be in a position to use something straight out its packaging.
A couple of things that can possibly cause a problem are:
Syncing to iTunes this can take over 30 minutes, this is a long time when you are dying to get started with this modern toy.
iPad can have the typical charging issue where you think it has charged up and no it has not.
As more and more of us start using the iPad I expect we will have a better understanding of the device giving more of an indication to the giant Apple on their device and maybe any improvements.

Software Development vs. Software Engineering at its ‘heist’

Software Engineering is definitely being explored more and more over recent months. I have seen more and more proficient engineers using smart facilities to adopt their thoughts and how they work.
Is software engineering the basics of software development? Surely it is as most people forget that development is a derivate of engineering.
Why aren’t people recognising that software development and software engineering is completely related, try looking for a job as a software engineer there will not be many available but try looking for a job as a software developer you are guaranteed to find many.
The true meaning and nature of the words software engineering needs to come back as most developers are effectively doing a function of software engineering.
